It’s 1.30 in the morning (I’m on nights) and after reading the blogs of some of my freinds from church, simplydave, pastordave and the old vic, I’ve been encouraged to have a go at starting my own blog. First attempt so I hope I get it right. As i sit here and think back over the last 2 years I remain absolutely gob smacked at how the Lord has given us absolutely everything we asked of Him. When we felt Him telling us to move to Scotland (it’s a long story in itself) we said, ‘YES’ and then later wrote down a few simple things on a prayer list. It was a real step of faith as well cos’ we sold our house, eventually (another long story), and headed up to Scotland pulling the caravan to look for a house, not knowing where we were going to end up. So we were homeless for a few months until the Lord provided us with our new home. Neither of us had ever been to this part of Scotland before, we didn’t know anyone but we knew it was just right. I had written in my prayer list – countryside location, land, outbuildings, views, while Pat’s list included, views, 3 bedrooms, hallway, not too isolated. Well, we now live in a 3 or 4 hundred year old cottage with beautiful panoramic 360 degree views, just outside the village of Fochabers (not too isolated), with 1 acre of land (just enough for us), a large stone built cattle byre (outbuildings), 3 bedrooms and 2 hallways (the lord even delivers on the little things!). We’ve had a few ups and downs but I can honestly say that Jesus has been with us all the way and He has NEVER EVER let us down – His timing is just right and He HAS provided for all our needs. So, now we have settled into the area and we are just waiting to see what He wants us to do.
