Carol, there is no ‘new’ and’old’ church, just the one! It’s the church of Jesus Christ where He is the head, not a man, pastor or church council.

can we just pray about the whole thing, none of us are the wiser, we need the Master to tell us what is right, and how to improve on what is bad. I too share the misgivings in todays church, but I also have misgivings with the old church. May Him who knows best show us the light

I just wanted to say thank you for writing this and posting your blogs. I literally typed “Lord,what do you want from me today?” in the google search and your site came up. I know this was from the Lord just to believe in Him and wait on Him instead of being anxious, trying to strive and “do” things myself. I have a hard time waiting and just “doing” nothing, so I strive a lot.

Thank you Tony for sharing your faith journey. I fully expected for the Lord to show me what next. I know it was the Lord’s will for me to move to FF, CA but things got worse and ended up in a shelter. I believed He has something for me to do; but i didn’t see yet. i am encourage with your testimony. God bless you and yours. Ephesians 3:20, 21 came to mind.

this is really cool because i was thinking and talking to the lord and asking him what does he want me to do as far as work goes i have been in construction most of my life i just want a good job anyway i know the lord will take care of me i love him and he loves me and that is all that matters

Yes Archie, I agree. Many people ‘talk the talk’ but do they actually ‘walk the walk’. All I can say is the Lord knows! I’ve never believed just saying the ‘Believer’s or Sinner’s Prayer’ saves anyone anyway. He chooses us, we don’t choose Him! If we hear His voice and respond He says we are a new creation and there wil be a complete change in our lives as the Holy Spirit takes up residence- that I believe is a mystery in itself.

It speaks to a mystery of my faith. Blue blood Baptist as a background. I am mystified by the many people who have prayed the “believers prayer”, only to fall away from the faith and live a life of hell. Were they saved? Were they not?

I’m not looking for a religious answer. I have all those. I just want to appreciate, things are not always as they seem.
